Sportradar’s AI-Powered Simulation of the 2025 NFL Season Projects the Baltimore Ravens Most Likely Super Bowl Champion

Sportradar’s AI-powered NFL season simulation predicts the Baltimore Ravens as the most likely team to win Super Bowl LX. After running 50,000 simulations of the 18-week, 272-game regular season, the model also projected the league’s strongest divisions, division winners, the team most likely to land the first overall draft pick, and more.

Sportradar input tens of thousands of data points into its AI algorithm to analyze historical data and predict future scenarios for the upcoming NFL season. Built on NFL data and team odds for winning the Super Bowl, the simulations estimate team strength and expected scoring, effectively navigating through the regular season and playoffs with a focus on empirical data.

After running its regular season and playoff simulations, Sportradar projected the five most likely Super Bowl matchups, led by Eagles vs. Ravens at 5.3% probability. Of the five scenarios projected, the defending champion Eagles appeared in three, while the Ravens, Detroit Lions and Buffalo Bills were projected to reach the big game twice apiece.

The Ravens emerged as the Super Bowl champion in 6,625 of the 50,000 simulation instances, indicating a 13.3% probability that they will hoist the Lombardi Trophy, with the defending champion Eagles (11.8%) and Bills (11.8%) just behind them.

When looking at the postseason, the simulation projects that two teams who did not qualify in 2024—the 49ers (70.4%) and Cincinnati Bengals (58.4%)— are the likeliest to make the NFL Playoffs in 2025. In calculating these postseason probabilities, Sportradar’s simulation also predicted a number of things regarding the regular season.

Sportradar’s simulation projected the strongest division this season which was determined based on each division’s record against non-divisional opponents. The results show the NFC West as the strongest division this season with a 62.1% winning percentage, while the AFC South is projected to be the weakest at 37.8%.

Sportradar’s NFL season simulation forecasted seven repeat division winners from last year and one new first-place team — the San Francisco 49ers overtaking the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West.

Sportradar’s NFL season simulation also projected the race to the bottom of the standings, identifying the New Orleans Saints (10.9%) as the most likely team to land the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Close behind were the Tennessee Titans (9.4%) and New York Giants (8.7%), both strong candidates to also be on the clock early on the first on draft day.
