Sportradar expands Data Partnership portfolio with Ukrainian Premier League

Sportradar is pleased to announce another long-term data partnership with one of the top European soccer leagues, the Ukrainian Premier League. As of this season, Sportradar becomes the “Official Sports Data Partner of the Ukrainian Premier League” until the end
of the 2017/18 season.

The agreement covers the data collection across all Premier League, U19 and U21 Championships, Ukrainian Cup and Super Cup matches over the course of the four years. Sportradar has been granted the non-exclusive right to collect, archive and use the data for all betting and media purposes. Furthermore, they will provide the Premier League with sophisticated content solutions on their digital platforms.

“Our new partnership with Sportradar gives us the opportunity to provide our fans with even more insights and live information. Whether they are in the stadium, at home or on holidays abroad, all our fans will now be able to follow their favourite teams from anywhere in the world. By unlocking the potential of all the data in our matches, we can provide more entertainment and more engagement to all our fans”, said Vitaliy Danilov, President of the Ukrainian Premier League.

Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar added, “Ukrainian and East European soccer is becoming more and more popular and after hosting the UEFA EURO 2012 together with Poland, the interest in soccer reached a new peak. We hope that with our experience and expertise in data collection and distribution, we can propel Ukrainian soccer even further up the ladder and help to develop the attractiveness of the league to the betting and the media markets worldwide.”

About the Ukrainian Premier League
The Ukrainian Premier League is the Ukraine’s top flight football competition. Founded in 2008 it includes the 14 top soccer teams based in Ukraine. Although the Premier League has the same season schedule as many other European professional leagues, starting mid-July and ending mid-June, the winter break is significantly longer (three months) due to the harsh winter conditions.
