Sportadar and leAD Sports to provide support for cutting-edge sports tech start-ups

Sportradar, the global leader in unlocking the power of sports data, has announced a partnership with leAD Sports, a Berlin-based sports entrepreneurship platform that helps fund and nurture remarkable sports startups.

leAD was launched by the grandchildren of Adi Dassler together with a unique group of shareholders who are experts in the fields of venture capital, business, sports business and tech. It runs a unique sports startups accelerator in Berlin and applications for it are currently open – more details can be found at www.f6s.com/leadsportsaccelerator

As part of the partnership, the final selected startups in the leAD Sports Accelerator programme will be invited to participate in Sportradar’s own Acceleradar program, which will grant those startups free data access, for up to one year, via Sportradar’s industry leading API, as well as additional coaching and guidance during that period.

“Sportradar’s investment of time and resources in our stand-alone Innovation team and all its initiatives is really bearing fruit and gaining momentum. This latest tie up with leAD adds one of the leading tech talent platforms in Europe to our enviable list of collaborators and it positions us right in the heart of the continent’s startup ecosystem. We couldn’t be more excited to start identifying talent and working with leAD Sports to help realise their ideas,” said Luka Pataky. Innovation & Business Development Manager at Sportradar.

“leAD was founded in the image of Adi Dassler and the values he came to stand for. This includes the simple yet powerful belief that if athletes do well, so will the company. Today, our athletes are our startups and in their success lies the success of leAD. Partnering with Sportradar goes hand-in-hand with that objective of giving our startups the best chance to succeed,” said Tim Krieglstein, Co-Founder and Managing Director of leAD Sports.
